Today’s workout included a little bit of everything. Some arms, some legs, and quite a lot of abs!
This is what the first half of my workout looked like! It was a little hard for me to do today because I’ve come down with a bit of a cold and doing those burpees and half burpees made it a little hard to breathe but I made it through 🙂
The second half of my workout was an ab workout from bodybuilding.com. Here’s what I did:
I repeated this 3 times and my abs were burning but it felt good 🙂 there is nothing quite like a satisfying ab workout.
I’ll be back with an arm workout for tomorrow!
A few weeks ago I found my dad’s old turntable down in our basement, along with tons of old records. Of course, I immediately wanted it in my room so I could listen to music the old fashioned way! Today the final part came in and I am currently listening to some Led Zeppelin and it is amazing 🙂
There is no workout today because today is my rest day. I will have a tough workout to share tomorrow though, don’t worry 🙂

Jeez. It has been a long time since I have checked in here. Abouuuttt 9 months I think! I have still been working out (of course!) but I just have been too busy to put all my workouts on this blog. But, hopefully I’m back for a while now 🙂
So, here are the things that are going on in my life:
– I am now a senior in high school. Hooray!
– I am currently training for the Tough Mudder in May. I am beyond excited for this race! If you guys have any tips, let me know 🙂
– I don’t really know what to do with my Tuesday nights because Supernatural just had it’s mid-season finale and won’t be back until January… 😦 any new tv show suggestions will be greatly appreciated 🙂
Aaaaand that’s about it. My life pretty much consists of school and working out. And you know what? I am very okay with that 🙂
I am very excited to be back and to share my workouts with people!
I got my new shirt today and I am more excited about this shirt than any other shirt that I have ever boughten!
Ohmygosh, it is just the perfect shirt 🙂 I think I saw it on Pinterest or something and I just followed the link and ended up buying it!
So tonight was legs! Woohoo! I get my ‘Will Squat For Peanut Butter’ shirt, on leg day, how perfect is that?! I squated 115 pounds today, I am very proud of myself 🙂
So this week I officially started softball (Varsity!) and my lifting/workouts/push-ups and pull-ups were definitely lacking…. But I do have good reasons. I was just so busy and tired that lifting at 9:30 just didn’t seem like a good idea. Also, I have had elbow problems for as long as I can remember and this week my throwing elbow really started acting up, so I decided not to do Wednesday’s lift. I felt really bad skipping it but I knew that doing curls and rows would not be the best idea with my elbow hurting and all. But I’m icing everyday and hopefully my elbow will get better and I can get back into the swing of things! 🙂
Tomorrow I will most definitely go for a run and get a good hard workout in, I really need it! 🙂

Wednesday’s workout was biceps and back and it went really well! Here’s what I did:
And (I am very proud of myself for this) after that workout I needed to get more push-ups in and I did 60 push-ups in a row! I am so proud of myself! 🙂
Anyway, Thursday I didn’t do a set workout. I had softball for an hour and a half and after that I was exhausted so I decided that would be my workout for the day 🙂
Yesterday, was leg day! (My favorite :)) I squated 105 pounds! I was also very proud of that too! This week was just full of accomplishments for me 🙂 here’s the workout:
You can see that I didn’t actually do the deadlifts….. I decided not to do them because I knew my form wasn’t quite right and I didn’t want to hurt myself. I’m going to learn how to do them properly though! That way next week I can do them 🙂
Today was a really lazy day and I didn’t actually workout…. But I will tomorrow! I think tomorrow I will go for a run, I haven’t run in a while.

I had some delicious food today! My breakfast looked like this:
I had some Greek yogurt with peanut butter and strawberries, blueberries and a banana! It was delicious 🙂
I didn’t really do much today. I couldn’t go out and do anything because of all the snow we got here (12-14 inches!). So I pretty much stayed inside, ate food, watched Supernatural, read my book and worked out…. It was a great day 🙂
Lunch was equally as delicious as breakfast! I made myself a pizza and with that I had a mango, green beans and some green pepper 🙂
And my workout today was some cardio and abs 🙂
It was a very tiring working, especially considering my arms were sore along with my legs, but oh well, it was a good workout nonetheless 🙂

Today was quite a busy day for me! I had softball tryouts from 4-6 (which I did very well at :)), then I came home and went for a short 2ish mile run. After that I went down to the basement to get my lifting in for today 🙂
Here’s what I did!
My mom has also started lifting with me and it’s great! 🙂 it’s awesome to have a lifting partner!
I made a delicious protein shake after my workout: one scoop of protein powder, a banana and a fair amount of milk. I don’t really measure hen I make smoothies/shakes… I pretty much just throw everything in a blender and see what happens 🙂

I spent mine just lounging around the house, pretty much doing nothing except reading and watching Supernatural (my new tv show addiction!! So good! :))
For breakfast I made myself a fried egg sandwich and a green smoothie, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day!
I was going to make some peanut butter today but…. That didn’t exactly happen. Oh well, I’ll make some later this week.
My legs are super sore from yesterday’s leg workout and I love it! Walking up the stairs was a challenge 🙂

Today I did my leg workout that I was supposed to do yesterday. And let me tell ya, this was a good one!
I think leg workouts are my favorite. I always feel so strong.
I workout in my basement, so today, when I was done with my workout, I had to walk up the stairs and that was brutal!! Right now I’m sitting at the computer, and I know as soon as I get up, my legs are going to be super sore! But honestly, it’s going to feel great 🙂 I really like feeling sore after a workout because it makes me feel so accomplished and I know that I’m getting stronger 🙂

I didn’t come up with this workout, I found it on Pinterest! It’s from the Ascent Blog. I really liked it, it was a good quick workout!
Wednesday was biceps and back! My fifth day of lifting! I really really like lifting, something about it makes me feel so powerful 🙂
(I really how you can read that :)) I made a little chart on my whiteboard! One column for the exercise, on for the set, one for the reps and another for the weight!
Yesterday’s workout I did come up with! I wasn’t sweating in the beginning but after the second round I was definitely getting a good workout 🙂 here’s what it was:
~ 4 Rounds of:
•20 jumping jacks
•15 side lunge into a knee lift twist
•1 minute plank
•1 minute wall sit
•10 SEC REST
•20 SEC REST
I think it took me about a half hour maybe? I wasn’t really keeping track 🙂
Well, those are my workouts for the week! I will do my leg workout tomorrow and share that because I’m sure it’s going to be a good one!
