Lazy Day

Good evening!

I hope everyone had a lovely day πŸ™‚

I had some delicious food today! My breakfast looked like this:

I had some Greek yogurt with peanut butter and strawberries, blueberries and a banana! It was delicious πŸ™‚

I didn’t really do much today. I couldn’t go out and do anything because of all the snow we got here (12-14 inches!). So I pretty much stayed inside, ate food, watched Supernatural, read my book and worked out…. It was a great day πŸ™‚


Lunch was equally as delicious as breakfast! I made myself a pizza and with that I had a mango, green beans and some green pepper πŸ™‚

And my workout today was some cardio and abs πŸ™‚

It was a very tiring working, especially considering my arms were sore along with my legs, but oh well, it was a good workout nonetheless πŸ™‚

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I hope everyone had a great St. Patty’s Day!
I spent mine just lounging around the house, pretty much doing nothing except reading and watching Supernatural (my new tv show addiction!! So good! :))

For breakfast I made myself a fried egg sandwich and a green smoothie, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day!


I was going to make some peanut butter today but…. That didn’t exactly happen. Oh well, I’ll make some later this week.
My legs are super sore from yesterday’s leg workout and I love it! Walking up the stairs was a challenge πŸ™‚

Well, tomorrow is chest/triceps and I’m very excited! Have a great night πŸ™‚



Today I am feeling so much better than I have the past couple of days, and good thing! Today was my mum’s birthday and to celebrate we went snowshoeing! We had such a great time. We snowshoed for about 2 hours, and let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as it looks. I tried running in them and… going up a hill, while running will snowshoes on? Yeah, that’s pretty hard. It was a good workout though!Β 

My dad told me that they have 5k races where you run (the whole 5k!) with snowshoes on! Honestly, I think that would be really difficult but I might like to try it sometime, as long as I train, a lot πŸ™‚

Tomorrow morning I am hoping to get a really intense workout in (I’ll share it tomorrow :)) because tonight I ate a whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s…. And quite frankly, I don’t feel that guilty. Since the beginning of the year I have had one other “treat.” I was feeling good and decided to treat myself. Hey, it’s all about moderation, right? I can’t completely cut all that out, where would the fun be? πŸ™‚ So, yeah, I decided to eat all of this:



And, you know what? It was delicious πŸ™‚ But back on the healthy eating track tomorrow! I did eat well throughout the day so that’s good.

Well, I am off to bed so I can get up bright and early!

Baseball and a Quick Workout

Hello everyone! I hope you all have had a great day πŸ™‚

Today I went to visit some family, which is always a great time πŸ™‚ After the visit, my parents, my brother and I headed to my brother’s baseball practice. He practices at a “bubble.” Because of how cold it is and that fact that it gets dark so fast, baseball teams can’t practice outside! So they practice at this indoor facility that is honestly the coolest thing. It’s a great place to go to workout, too! There is a gym area, basketball courts, tennis courts, batting cages, and a turf area for soccer and baseball! It’s very very cool πŸ™‚

Tonight I did an ab workout with the team, along with a short arms and legs workout. The bubble is always really chilly (like, 45 degrees chilly!) so I didn’t really sweat that much doing this workout but I’m sure if I was in my basement doing this is would have been sweatin’ up a storm!

Here’s the workout!

Abs! – 50/10 Β X2

1. Knee tucks
2. Bicycles
3. Reverse crunches
4. V-rock
5. Crucifix
6. Supermans

Arms & Legs – 50/10 X2

1. Walking pushups
2. Calf raises
3. Stagger (Jump) pushups
4. 2 shuffles, 2 squat jumpsΒ 


I’m not sure how much the boys actuallyΒ likeΒ doing these workouts, but they are definitely helping them. They may hate me now but they’ll thank me later πŸ™‚

Now I’m off to have some peanut butter and vanilla yogurt (I seriously think I’m addicted to this stuff…)Β

Quick Cardio Workout

Last night’s cardio workout was a really quick one! Here ya go!


After I finished with the main workout part, I added a three minute ab workout, just for fun πŸ™‚

This morning’s breakfast was super healthy and super filling! And it was delicious πŸ™‚

So it’s Saturday and that means that my brother has baseball practice tonight! And, that also means that I get to come up with a workout for them πŸ™‚ I’m very excited for this workout; I’m going to make it pretty tough πŸ™‚ Tonight I’ll post that workout, it’ll probably be an ab workout.

Good evening!

I stayed home all day today and pretty much did nothing except workout and watch some Netflix, but it was great! I actually got my brother to workout with me! He did my arm workout from the other day and he thought it was pretty hard. Today the workout I did was just a regular rep workout that I threw together this morning but it was really difficult. Sometimes when I’m working out and I am getting really tired I think to myself “I couldΒ just do one set of these instead of two..” but then I do two anyway because there is no point in cheating myself, no matter how tired I am.

Sometimes it’s hard to find motivation especially when you’re feeling down or bad about yourself. What I have done is, in my room, I created a “Motivation Wall.” I taped up quotes and pictures and a countdown to summer! I keep that up to remind me to work hard everyday. I’m pretty sure I saw this idea on Pinterest (surprise, surprise :)) and I love it!


Also, what I do is I have a whole album in my phone dedicated to motivational pictures and quotes. Whenever I don’t feel like working out or I feel like eating something I know I shouldn’t eat, I look through some of the pictures I have in that album (there are about 260 pictures in this album… haha :)); they give me motivation to get my butt off the couch and go work out!

Well, anyway, I was plenty motivated today and got my workout done this morning! What I have decided to do, down in my basement where I do all my working out, is write all of my workouts on a white board! That way it’s easy to see and I’m not trying to find that little piece of paper that I wrote my workout on πŸ™‚

The divebombers and burpees with a pushup killed me, but I did get all the sets done! I felt so great after this workout, especially since I was covered in well-deserved sweat πŸ™‚


Today for lunch I tried something new! I had peanut butter toast with a banana for breakfast, so, for lunch I didn’t want to have more bread. I decided to make my sandwich on lettuce! It was so delicious and refreshing! I just put two pieces of ham and one piece of cheese on two pieces of lettuce and, bam! I had an amazing sandwich!

Today, my best friend in the whole world came over because we decided to do some yoga this afternoon. She wants to try to be healthier so I’m trying to help her and give her the most support that I can. The only problem was: neither of us really knew anything about yoga. So, essentially, all we did was sit on the floor, stretch and talk about life. We had a good time but not much yoga-ing was getting done! I think next time we’ll look up some yoga videos on the Internet or something.

Circuit Workout and Pizza!

Hello everyone!

I have had a fairly productive day so far. I got my workout done, which I will share with you in a minute, and I got a good amount of work done, so today has been good! How has your day been thus far?

I did my workout earlier this morning. When I come up with my workouts I pretty much just throw a bunch of exercises together. There really is no rhyme or reason other than trying to put a good workout together. This workout that I did today was a circuit workout and here it is!


Circuit Workout

>Warmup: 5 minutes, cardio of choice

Circuit #1:

Do each exercise for 60 seconds with a 30-second break in between each exercise.

  1. Squat Jumps
  2. 5 Jumping Jacks —> Burpee with Pushup
  3. Reverse Crunches
  4. 4 Tricep Pushups —> 4 Regular PushupsΒ 

*Repeat this circuit one more time! Then take a 1-minute break.*

Circuit #2:

Do each exercise for 90 seconds with a 30-second break in between.

  1. Plank Hops, Plank Dips
  2. 10 Tuck Jumps —> 20 Mountain Climbers
  3. Jump Rope/ Calf Raises (for this one, every 15 seconds I switched between jumping rope and calf raises, just to mix it up :))
  4. Lunge and Twist with a medicine ball, alternating legs

>Cool down: 5 minutes, cardio of choice

Total Time is 30 minutes


That is the workout I did today and boy, was I sweating! If you have any questions about any of the exercises just let me know! So, a lot of the workouts that I do consist of multiple exercises per interval (i.e. 5 jumping jacks —> burpee with pushup). When you see that all you do is keep repeating that sequence until the timer dings! Easy as pie πŸ™‚
