Yesterday, I decided to take a day off because I needed it and rest days are essential. Sometimes I don’t want to take a rest day because working out is usually the highlight of my day, but I know they are really important. So, yesterday, all day, all I did was think about working out 🙂
Today, I spent a lot of time in the car and didn’t get back until quite late. I just finished my workout! I do like working out at night though, the whole house is quiet and it’s just so nice!
Anyway! Here’s my workout:
This workout took about 30 minutes. It was a quick one, but if you really go all out for the 45 seconds and really push yourself, you’ll definitely feel it!
Yesterday, my grandmother taught me how to make her homemade peanut butter and I have no idea why I wasn’t doing this before! It is honestly the easiest thing to do. All you have to do is buy a can of peanuts (make sure that the only ingredient is Peanuts) and put it in a food processor. That’s it! Leave the peanuts in the food processor for a while, stopping to scrape down the sides every now and then. After a while it will start to get really smooth, that’s when you can add some salt, to taste. Once you are done making it, you will need to keep it in the refrigerator if you don’t want it to be all runny. But, my, oh my, this peanut butter is delicious! And, so much healthier than store bought peanut butter!! Mmm, mmm!

Whew! Just finished my workout for the day!
On our way to the Cape, I realized that I forgot my sandbag at home 😦 That was probably the worst thing ever. I use my sandbag for pretty much every workout and now I have to go 4 days without it! But at least I’ll get some good bodyweight workouts in! And today’s workout was a good one!
This was a great workout! Because I’m not at home in my usual basement workout space, I worked out in the bedroom I stay in at my grandparent’s house.
There’s me after my workout 🙂 Now I’m going to go shower and get some breakfast! My grandmother makes her own peanut butter and it’s delicious! I think I’m gonna go get me some of that (and mix it in with some Greek yogurt? 🙂 Yes!)

Today marks the start of my week long vacation and I am very excited! I get to spend a couple days visiting my family on Cape Cod and I can’t wait to run down by the water (even though its going to be really cold!)
Today, I ran 4 miles and I felt pretty good. For almost a mile o my run I ran through snow and it is way more difficult than I thought it was. It’s really hard to keep you balance and it’s hard to not slip on the parts that are icy!
So, I have decided not to continue with the 30 Day Shred… For now. I think I will eventually complete the whole thing but right now it’s not what I want. I only did it for 4 days and it was already starting to get tedious and a little boring. Don’t get me wrong, the workout was great and after the first day I felt it a little in my shoulders but I really like coming up with my own workouts. And with coming up with my own workouts I get variety. For 10 days I would have had to do the same workout and I just couldn’t do it. I think I’ll eventually do the whole thing just not right now.

Today was my third day of the 30 day shred. I am liking the workout… but i’m also getting sick of it at the same time. I’m hoping that when I get to level two, it’ll get harder because level 1, while it does make my muscles a little sore, barely makes me sweat. The workout is set up really well though. And I definitely think that I will get stronger by the end.
So, remember the peanut butter vanilla yogurt snack that I told you about? And how I love it? Yeah, I think I really need to only eat it once a day because I am eating it two, even three, times a day! And I know that I could be eating worse things but still, too much of that isn’t good. What’s terrible it that it’s just so dang good! If you haven’t tried it, you need to (if you like peanut butter) because it seriously tastes like dessert. You can also add banana in there, too; that’s also delicious 🙂
I think what I’m going to do is start doing the Shred in the morning and then do my workouts in the afternoon, that way I can have some workouts to share with you guys 🙂 So, stay tuned for a workout tomorrow! (abs, maybe?)

So today was my second day of the 30 day shred! I still am not quite sure how I feel about it.. My calves and shoulders were hurting a little but that’s it. Also, I don’t know how I feel about doing the same workout for 10 days in a row because honestly, I’m almost sick of it already but I’m going to stick with it for the 30 days before I make up my mind!
Short post okay because I don’t have a workout! But I will post some motivational pictures instead 🙂

My weekend was very fun. Friday night I drove my brother to baseball practice; the team had to find a new place to practice temporarily because the bubble where we normally have practice collapsed because of all the snow! This also means that I can’t do my workouts with the team for now 😦 That makes me upset but I don’t think the boys are too sad about it.
Saturday morning I cleaned my room and was really motivated to go for a run. I went for a run and I ran 6 MILES!! Whoa! I did it in about 57 minutes so honestly, that was fine with me! I felt really really good throughout the whole run. After I got home, sat down and tried to stand up again, my legs were super stiff and really tight. But, it felt really good 🙂
Today, I have started Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and just after the first day I absolutely love it! I took my measurements so we will see by the end of the 30 days how much changes. I’m not really looking to lose any weight… I just want to see what happens; if anything I can only get stronger so there really is no downside!

Happy Valentine’s day!
Yesterday, I was so sick and stayed home I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. I stayed home and laid on the couch and I watched an unbelievable amount of The Biggest Loser. I went back and watched season 7. So, needless to say, I did not workout yesterday, nor did I workout today 😦 I think my days are just so much worse when I don’t workout. I definitely need it in my life.
The reason I didn’t workout today is this: I have had a cyst on my wrist (I love saying that because it rhymes :)) for a really really long time. And, it has started hurting pretty much whenever I use it. I have tried to not do many pushups, but come on, I can’t just not do pushups! So I went to the doctor’s and he decided to drain it. Yes, it is as gross as it sounds. He numbed it, drained it and put some Cortizone in there. Meanwhile, I am starting to not be able to see and my hearing goes away and finally, I start to black out. He tells me to put my head down so I did. After probably less than a minute, I started feeling a little bit more normal. So, as I’m coming to, I feel all of this moisture all over my face and I realize that I had started sweating. I was sweating like crazy. But thankfully I didn’t pass out completely! So, because of how sore my wrist was and the fact that I was still a little dizzy, I stayed home yet again today and watched The Biggest Loser… I have a sad life at this point.
However, tomorrow I should be back to doing pretty much everything except arm stuff.. I think I’ll lay off arms for a couple of days. Tomorrow I’m thinking of doing some cardio and leg and butt stuff; yeah, that sounds good.

I woke up this morning feeling great and I got my arm workout in, but as the day progressed, I started to feel more and more sick. I am seriously not feeling well at all right now, so here’s my workout and then I’m going to head to bed.
5 minute warmup
- 1 min. jumping jacks
- 1 min. high knees
- 1 min. jog in place
- 1 min. butt kicks
- 1 min. burpees (no pushup)
3×15 clean and press
2×10 reverse pushups
2×15 lateral raises
25 jumping jacks
20 pushups with a plank rotation
2×25 bicep curls
And.. yup, that’s it. I decided not to do abs today, I don’t know why. Also, I put this workout in Fitocracy and I earned over 1600 points! I am already on level 5, that’s pretty cool. I really like that app.
