Little Bit of Everything

Today’s workout included a little bit of everything. Some arms, some legs, and quite a lot of abs!

This is what the first half of my workout looked like! It was a little hard for me to do today because I’ve come down with a bit of a cold and doing those burpees and half burpees made it a little hard to breathe but I made it through πŸ™‚

The second half of my workout was an ab workout from bodybuilding.com. Here’s what I did:

I repeated this 3 times and my abs were burning but it felt good πŸ™‚ there is nothing quite like a satisfying ab workout.

I’ll be back with an arm workout for tomorrow!

My Very Own Turntable

Hello!

A few weeks ago I found my dad’s old turntable down in our basement, along with tons of old records. Of course, I immediately wanted it in my room so I could listen to music the old fashioned way! Today the final part came in and I am currently listening to some Led Zeppelin and it is amazing πŸ™‚

There is no workout today because today is my rest day. I will have a tough workout to share tomorrow though, don’t worry πŸ™‚

I’m Finally Back

Jeez. It has been a long time since I have checked in here. Abouuuttt 9 months I think! I have still been working out (of course!) but I just have been too busy to put all my workouts on this blog. But, hopefully I’m back for a while now πŸ™‚

So, here are the things that are going on in my life:

– I am now a senior in high school. Hooray!

– I am currently training for the Tough Mudder in May. I am beyond excited for this race! If you guys have any tips, let me know πŸ™‚

– I don’t really know what to do with my Tuesday nights because Supernatural just had it’s mid-season finale and won’t be back until January… 😦 any new tv show suggestions will be greatly appreciated πŸ™‚

Aaaaand that’s about it. My life pretty much consists of school and working out. And you know what? I am very okay with that πŸ™‚

I am very excited to be back and to share my workouts with people!

Feelin’ Good!

Hello everyone πŸ™‚

Today I am just feeling really good! I got back late from softball and decided to still lift and I am so glad that I did! πŸ™‚ Lifting just make me feel so good! Plus today was an arm and shoulder day and I am pretty proud of my arms πŸ™‚

And I have some new lifting gloves! My arms aren’t exactly where I want them to be but I sure am happy about them as of now πŸ™‚

The workout I did today was the same as last Monday, I just increased the weight a little bit. Tomorrow I will be doing a circuit type workout maybe…? I haven’t really decided yet πŸ™‚ But I will definitely post it!

I. Love. Peanut Butter.

Good evening everyone!

Today was my third day of the 30 day shred. I am liking the workout… but i’m also getting sick of it at the same time. I’m hoping that when I get to level two, it’ll get harder because level 1, while it does make my muscles a little sore, barely makes me sweat. The workout is set up really well though. Β And I definitely think that I will get stronger by the end.Β 

So, remember the peanut butter vanilla yogurt snack that I told you about? And how I love it? Yeah, I think I really need to only eat it once a day because I am eating it two, even three, times a day! And I know that I could be eating worse things but still, too much of that isn’t good. What’s terrible it that it’s just so dang good! If you haven’t tried it, you need to (if you like peanut butter) because it seriously tastes like dessert. You can also add banana in there, too; that’s also delicious πŸ™‚

I think what I’m going to do is start doing the Shred in the morning and then do my workouts in the afternoon, that way I can have some workouts to share with you guys πŸ™‚ So, stay tuned for a workout tomorrow! (abs, maybe?)

Day 2

Hello πŸ™‚

So today was my second day of the 30 day shred! I still am not quite sure how I feel about it.. My calves and shoulders were hurting a little but that’s it. Also, I don’t know how I feel about doing the same workout for 10 days in a row because honestly, I’m almost sick of it already but I’m going to stick with it for the 30 days before I make up my mind!

Short post okay because I don’t have a workout! But I will post some motivational pictures instead πŸ™‚

30 Day Shred!

Good Evening everyone! I hope you all have had a great weekend πŸ™‚

My weekend was very fun. Friday night I drove my brother to baseball practice; the team had to find a new place to practice temporarily because the bubble where we normally have practice collapsed because of all the snow! This also means that I can’t do my workouts with the team for now 😦 That makes me upset but I don’t think the boys are too sad about it.

Saturday morning I cleaned my room and was really motivated to go for a run. I went for a run and I ran 6 MILES!! Whoa! I did it in about 57 minutes so honestly, that was fine with me! I felt really really good throughout the whole run. After I got home, sat down and tried to stand up again, my legs were super stiff and really tight. But, it felt really good πŸ™‚

Today, I have started Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and just after the first day I absolutely love it! I took my measurements so we will see by the end of the 30 days how much changes. I’m not really looking to lose any weight… I just want to see what happens; if anything I can only get stronger so there really is no downside!

My Poor Wrist

Happy Valentine’s day!

Yesterday, I was so sick and stayed home I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. I stayed home and laid on the couch and I watched an unbelievable amount of The Biggest Loser. I went back and watched season 7. So, needless to say, I did not workout yesterday, nor did I workout today 😦 I think my days are just so much worse when I don’t workout. I definitely need it in my life.

The reason I didn’t workout today is this: I have had a cyst on my wrist (I love saying that because it rhymes :)) for a really really long time. And, it has started hurting pretty much whenever I use it. I have tried to not do many pushups, but come on, I can’t just not do pushups! So I went to the doctor’s and he decided to drain it. Yes, it is as gross as it sounds. He numbed it, drained it and put some Cortizone in there. Meanwhile, I am starting to not be able to see and my hearing goes away and finally, I start to black out. He tells me to put my head down so I did. After probably less than a minute, I started feeling a little bit more normal. So, as I’m coming to, I feel all of this moisture all over my face and I realize that I had started sweating. I was sweating like crazy. But thankfully I didn’t pass out completely! So, because of how sore my wrist was and the fact that I was still a little dizzy, I stayed home yet again today and watched The Biggest Loser… I have a sad life at this point.

However, tomorrow I should be back to doing pretty much everything except arm stuff.. I think I’ll lay off arms for a couple of days. Tomorrow I’m thinking of doing some cardio and leg and butt stuff; yeah, that sounds good.

Amazing Arms!

Hello!

I woke up this morning feeling great and I got my arm workout in, but as the day progressed, I started to feel more and more sick. I am seriously not feeling well at all right now, so here’s my workout and then I’m going to head to bed.

Amazing Arms!

5 minute warmup

  • 1 min. jumping jacks
  • 1 min. high knees
  • 1 min. jog in place
  • 1 min. butt kicks
  • 1 min. burpees (no pushup)

3×15 clean and press

2×10 reverse pushups

2×15 lateral raises

25 jumping jacks

20 pushups with a plank rotation

2×20 rows

2×25 bicep curls

~REPEAT!~

And.. yup, that’s it. I decided not to do abs today, I don’t know why. Also, I put this workout in Fitocracy and I earned over 1600 points! I am already on level 5, that’s pretty cool. I really like that app.Β

What a workout!

This morning I got up bright and early to get my workout in! I decided that I wanted this workout to be harder than usual (since I didn’t really workout this weekend and I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry’s…) So I added some interval sprints in there, along with some squat jumps! I love squat jumps and I completely forgot about them! Here’s the workout:Β Image

And, honestly, this was a great workout! I haven’t really been running lately, sometimes, here or there, but not consistently, so those intervals really did kill me! I think this is one of my favorite workouts though, so that’s good!

I also did some softball practice today! Oh, and I got this app called Fitocracy today. I’m still kind of confused about how to actually use it… but I think I’ve gotten the gist of it. And, for my morning workout and softball, I earned 500 points! That’s pretty cool, I jumped all the way to level 3!

Yesterday, when I went snowshoeing with my family, we went out to a small sugar shack for lunch and and I got an absolutely amazing turkey club! It was on this great multi-grain bread; it was so good that my mum and I decided to buy a loaf of it! (And it’s already almost half gone… :)) Tonight I made myself a sandwich for dinner using that wonderful bread. i put on some hummus, lettuce, ham and cheese, and it was good πŸ™‚

Tomorrow I’m thinking that I’ll do an arm and ab workout.. Yeah, that sounds good to me πŸ™‚
